MAIN FEATURES

METAL EFFECTS® PERMACOAT XTREME is a transparent, water-based sealant that protects naturally oxidized metal surfaces, as well as those treated and oxidized with METAL EFFECTS® BLUE/GREEN PATINA and METAL EFFECTS® RUST ACTIVATOR.

METAL EFFECTS® PERMACOAT XTREME forms a film on the surface, prevents further oxidation, and does not yellow. It chemically protects and minimizes subsequent oxidation, creating a weather-resistant protective barrier. It does not require dilution with water when applied directly to metals.

When applied over METAL EFFECTS® IRON, COPPER, or BRONZE, the first coat should be diluted in equal parts with water (in areas where the water is alkaline, bottled water is recommended). Apply the second coat undiluted.

No subsequent application of any finishing varnish is required.

Note: The METAL EFFECTS® PERMACOAT XTREME product is sensitive to moisture, therefore it should only be applied when the oxidized surface is completely dry (minimum 24 hours) and clean. For exterior work, do not apply the product if there is a risk of rain during the 3 days following application.
